Don Sproles Memorial Evening ‘Wine and Shine’
The annual Don Sproles Memorial Wine & Shine, a benefit for the Volunteer Ministry Center (VMC), feature wines and moonshine tastings, gourmet food, live music, and silent and live auctions. Longtime News Sentinel columnist and humorist Sam Venable will serve as the emcee. Attendees must be age 21 or older. Proceeds from the ticket sales directly support the programs of the Volunteer Ministry Center.

Volunteer Ministry Center’s Carry the Torch Knoxville
Carry the Torch Knoxville is an annual event that features speakers who have an impact on the issues of homelessness, mental health and families. The 2024 event will feature Tracy Kidder, Pulitzer Prize Winner and best-selling author of "Rough Sleepers," and Dr. Jim O’Connell, president of Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School.
