The Morristown-Hamblen Hospital Foundation Gala will honor Dr. Tom Thompson with the lifetime commitment to healthcare award for his dedicated service to patients in the region. He is a general surgery specialist at Surgical Associates of East Tennessee in Morristown and has been practicing for more than 25 years. The gala features dinner, silent auction, fund-a-cause and live music by The Young Fables, a country duo featuring three-time American Idol veteran Laurel Wright and accomplished guitarist and vocalist Wesley Lunsford.

Proceeds from the event, which will be held at Prater Hall at the Rose Center, support continuing professional education, program development and medical equipment needs.
