33rd Annual Emerald O’ccasion Catholic Charities Dinner

The Emerald O’ccasion Annual Dinner, now in its 33rd year, is a major fundraising event hosted by Catholic Charities of East Tennessee to benefit the organization’s programs. The evening also will include the presentation of the 7th annual “Creating Hope” award to an individual or organization for outstanding service to Catholic Charities of East Tennessee. The keynote speaker will be Vallie Collins, a survivor of “Miracle on the Hudson,” during which US Airways Flight 1549 had to land on the Hudson River in New York after engine failure. Collins lives in Maryville, Tennessee. WATE’s Kristin Farley will serve as emcee. Cocktails begin at 5 p.m., with dinner to follow at 6 p.m.
