44th Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony
The Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame, established in 1982, celebrates sports and serves as a significant fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley. Individuals will be inducted into the Hall of Fame for achievements in athletics, media, coaching, sports administration and officiating. The featured speakers will be Ron Slay, a former Vols basketball player who now serves as a studio analyst for the SEC Network. Appetizers and a cash bar will start at 5 p.m. on the concourse with the reception chef-curated food stations at 6 p.m. The induction ceremony will start at 7 p.m.
Other honorees include Knoxville’s Most Outstanding Male and Female High School Athletes of the Year; Chad Pennington Professional Athlete of the Year; Pat Summitt Ignite Greatness Award; Special Recognition; Will McKamey Spirit Award; and Buck Vaughn Legacy Award.
