The annual “Bear Necessities” event is the signature fundraiser for Appalachian Bear Rescue. The 2019 theme is “Black Fur & Bluegrass.” The event, to be held at The Cunningham Farm in Walland (new location for 2019) will feature a cocktail hour; picnic-style dinner by Chef Mike Blair; entertainment by Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, 2019 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Emerging Artist of the Year; and bear stories by curators and a “Cubby” slideshow.
