The Whitney M. Young Service Award Dinner recognizes outstanding service in the development of Scouting for youth and is based on the nominee’s contribution in improving at-risk conditions affecting America’s youth and communities. The 2018 honorees are John Hooper, Pitts & Lake, P.C., and Principals Melissa Johnson (Christenberry Elementary),  Renee Kelly (Emerald Academy) and Kim Wilburn-Cullom (Maynard Elementary). Tearsa Smith of WATE-TV Channel 6 will serve as emcee.
