Celebrating the Art of Survivorship raises funds and awareness for Cancer Support Community East Tennessee. The event includes a luncheon and silent auction. Country music singer Wade Hayes will be the featured speaker and provide entertainment. Hayes was diagnosed in 2011 with stage 4 color cancer that had spread to his liver, gall bladder and lymph nodes. Not only did Hayes survive, but he also took the mantra his doctor gave him to heart to “go live your life,” and made a song and album of the same name that was released in just four years after his diagnosis.
