Civil War Bus Tour: History in Brass and Stone

November 11, 2018 @ 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | $45, members; $60, non-members

McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture will present History in Brass and Stone: Remembering Knoxville’s Military Heritage. Joan Markel, curator of Civil War history, will lead the Veterans Day-themed version of the museum’s popular Civil War bus tours. Attendees will see how the ‘Volunteer’ legacy of military sacrifice is memorialized in obscure locations around Knoxville.

The bus tour will include hard cider or beer compliments of Cherokee Distributing Company (for guests over 21), a keepsake McClung koozie, water, snacks and the two-hour tour. A portion of each ticket is tax deductible. Non-member tickets include a one-year membership to the McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture. For details about membership visit the museum’s website.
