Discover Life in America (DLiA) will hold an extravagant evening centered around the Smokies’ famous synchronous fireflies. “Candlelight Dinner: Fireflies at Norton Creek” will include a special dinner and drinks prepared by Dollywood Resorts executive chef and team at the award-winning HeartSong Lodge & Resort and end with synchronous firefly viewing at Norton Creek private reserve. The evening will begin at 5:30pm with signature cocktails, full bar and hors d’oeuvres in the Acoustic Lobby at the HeartSong Lodge & Resort and then a full-course, candlelight dinner at one of the lodge’s outdoor dinner venues. That will be followed by a caravan to the private reserve at Norton Creek with a guided viewing of the synchronous fireflies that call Norton Creek home and their other bioluminescent brethren, including blue ghost fireflies and other glowing insects.
