The East Tennessee Community Design Center (ETCDC) will hold its annual gala in support of the organization. The Bruce McCarty Community Impact Award, which is a tribute to the legacy of architect Bruce McCarty and the contributions he made to the region as one of the founders of ETCDC, will be presented to Pat and Joe Johnson, president emeritus of the University of Tennessee. The Annette Anderson Director’s Award also will be presented, which is granted to a nonprofit client of the East Tennessee Community Design Center that has demonstrated a commitment to making East Tennessee a better place. The 2018 recipient is The Beck Cultural Exchange Center for the Delaney House restoration project.
