East Tennessee Community Design Center Awards Gala
The East Tennessee Community Design Center (ETCDC) will hold its annual gala and Halloween party in support of the organization. The Bruce McCarty Community Impact Award, which is a tribute to the legacy of architect Bruce McCarty and the contributions he made to the region as one of the founders of ETCDC, will be presented to Faris Eid, president of Design Innovation.
The new Annette Anderson Director’s Award also will be presented, which is granted to clients of the East Tennessee Community Design Center who have demonstrated a commitment to making East Tennessee a better place. This award is a tribute to the legacy of Annette Anderson, who served as executive director of the Design Center for more than 20 years. The inaugural award will be presented to the Tanner Preservation Alliance in Newport, Tennessee, which has worked to restore the historic Tanner School building.
Costumes are encouraged for this Halloween-timed event.
