The East Tennessee Historical Society (ETHS) will host Pulitzer Prize-winning historian and No. 1 New York Times bestselling author Rick Atkinson for a VIP reception to discuss his book, “The Fate of the Day, The Fate of the Day: The War for America, Fort Ticonderoga to Charleston, 1777-1780,” the second volume of the revolution trilogy by Atkinson. Following the reception, Atkinson will speak at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church at 620 State St.

VIP ticketholders receive access to the reception, copy of the book and reserved seating at First Presbyterian Church. General admission tickets for the speaking event are $20 for the general public and $15 for ETHS members.
