The 16th Annual East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame gala is a benefit for Friends of Literacy and honors outstanding local writers for their work and celebrates the richness and diversity of the written word in East Tennessee and includes dinner and a cash bar. A VIP meet and greet with the writers begins at 6 p.m. for attendees at a hosted table of 10. The writers being inducted in 2019 include Rhea Carmon, Elizabeth Genovise, Paul Harrill, Michael Lofaro, Karen E. Reynolds, Jamie Satterfield, Alan Sherrod and Kim Trevathan.
