Friends of Knox County Public Library: An Evening with Author Denise Kiernan

October 5, 2017 @ 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. | $10 per ticket

Friends of the Knox County Public Library will host an evening with author Denise Kiernan at the East Tennessee History Center. A wine and cheese reception will be held at 6 p.m., followed by Kiernan speaking at 7 p.m. about her latest work, “The Last Castle: The Epic Story of Love, Loss, and American Royalty in the Nation’s Largest Home.” The book takes readers on a well-researched journey through the Gilded Age. Spanning wars, financial crises and great tragedy, the author tells the true story of Biltmore House and its occupants, George, Edith and Cornelia Vanderbilt.

Kiernan’s last book, “The Girls of Atomic City,” was a New York Times, Los Angeles Times and NPR bestseller.
