Front Page Follies is an evening of music and skits poking fun at news – and local newsmakers – and serves as a major fundraiser for college scholarships at the University of Tennessee and Pellissippi State Community College. The 2016 honoree will be longtime broadcast journalist Jean Ash.

The event, now in its 38th year, is Knoxville’s version of “Saturday Night Live.” A pre-event cocktail party and pre-auction bidding begins at 5 p.m. with Ash and special guests. (And is available for $200 a ticket; $1,750, table of 10). The cash bar reception and silent auction begin at 6 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. dinner and 7:45 p.m. live auction and stage show by the Follies Troupe.
