Girl Scouts Trefoil Society Luncheon
The 2025 Annual Trefoil Society Luncheon will honor University of Tennessee Chancellor Donde Plowman. The chief executive of the Knoxville campus, Plowman became chancellor in 2019, and the university has since strategically grown its enrollment, increased the retention of first-year students and improved the four-year graduation rate. Research expenditures have grown, and the university has developed innovative partnerships with industry leaders. Plowman also ushered in new athletics administration that has revived the department with ethical leadership and a team-first culture that values excellence. She was a Girl Scout Junior and Cadette in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and attributes her lifelong interest in learning and achievement to all the hours she spent earning badges.
The Trefoil Society Luncheon is named after the trefoil-shaped pin Girl Scouts receive that symbolizes acceptance of ethical leadership values. The Trefoil Society provides financial support to Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachians, and annual luncheons are held in each of the council’s three regions. Tickets for the Knoxville luncheon are available HERE.
