The best journalism in East Tennessee is recognized at the annual East Tennessee Society of Professional Journalists’ Golden Press Card Awards banquet, co-sponsored by UT College of Communication & Information. The event includes a meal, and the keynote speaker is Jack Neely, historian and co-founder of the Knoxville Mercury newspaper.
