KMA: Painting with a Purpose

June 23, 2018 @ 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. | $75, Art House members; $125, non-members

Hosted by Art House at the KMA, Painting with a Purpose will feature wildlife and animal painter Freddy Paske, who will travel from London for the event. Paske uses his art to bring attention to the difficulties facing what remains of the world’s wildlife population through the project “The Bigger Picture.” Elephants, for example, are the world’s largest living land mammal. In 1979 there were just 1.3 million left; today only 450,000 survive in the wild. Paske also will bring a selection of current works and speak about what it means to create art with purpose. A cocktail buffet, along with a selection of summer wines and cocktails, will be available.
