The Knoxville Bar Association will hold its annual dinner to pay tribute to the justices of the Tennessee Supreme Court. A cash bar reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The featured speaker is The Hon. R. Ashby Pate of Lightfoot Franklin & White LLC in Birmingham, Alabama. Pate is a former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Palau, where he helped design the island nation’s first-ever jury trial system.
