The Knoxville Chamber will hold a Premier Partner breakfast event featuring Phillip Fulmer, the athletics director for the University of Tennessee. He will discuss the department’s future on the site where the Southeastern Conference was formed in December 1932, when college presidents, deans, coaches (including Gen. Robert Neyland) and athletic directors with the Southern Conference Athletic Association met at the Farragut Hotel (now the downtown Hyatt) and formed the SEC.
