Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon will give the “State of the City” address and present her proposed 2023-24 budget to City Council and the public. A brown bag lunch will be provided to guests who pre-register. To RSVP, call the City’s 3-1-1 line (3-1-1 or 865-215-4311) by April 21, 2023. From 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., a section of Vermont Avenue between Bowling Avenue and Hooker Street will be temporarily closed to accommodate the address and luncheon. State of the City event parking will be available on both sides of Vermont Avenue. Seating is open. The City of Knoxville will upload the budget to KnoxvilleTN.gov/budget.
