The Knoxville Opera’s “Puccini Gala Concert” will play music from Italian composer Giacomo Puccini’s most infamous operas. Puccini is regarded as the greatest and most successful proponent of Italian opera after Verdi, making this a must-attend event for opera enthusiasts. Scenes from all 12 Puccini operas will be featured, including the powerful Poker Scene from The Girl of the Golden West, the complete 4th act of Manon Lescaut and the legendary “Nessun dorma” Turandot.
