The 2015 Annual Meeting of the League of Women Voters of Knoxville/Knox County will feature keynote speaker, Dr. Harold A. Middlebrook Sr., an active member of the civil rights movement when the Voting Rights Act was signed into law in 1965. A social period begins at 5:30 pm., with dinner at 6 p.m., followed by Middlebrook’s remarks. The group’s business meeting is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
