The Marble City Opera will hold a benefit event for its 10th season at the Dogwood Center at the Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum. The Marble City Opera is asking for support and celebrating 10 years of classic and contemporary opera performances. Sponsorship or donation opportunities also are available. The event will include pop-up arias, hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer, dessert and live and silent auctions.

The opera lost one of its most valued and talented members, Managing Director Brandon Gibson, in November. Over the last few years, he was the face and voice of Beauford Delaney in “Shadowlight” and the librettist of the contemporary production of “I Can’t Breathe,” which will live on in future productions.
