Because of the ongoing pandemic, this event will now take place online and outdoors at Malcolm Martin Park instead of at the Tennessee Theatre as previously planned. This fall marks 50 years of Mobile Meals serving food and hope to seniors in the community, and the program, part of the CAC Office on Aging, will hold the 50th Anniversary Celebration. The event includes a Power of the Purse silent auction viewing and bidding from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; video presentation premiere of “Mobile Meals Celebrates 50 Years of Service” at noon; and Party in the Park, an outdoor celebration at Mobile Meals Kitchen/Malcolm Martin Park with goodie bags, refreshments and entertainment from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
