Moxley Carmichael KSO Masterworks Series: A Shift Festival Send-Off – CANCELED

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra had been one of only four orchestras selected to be featured in the now-canceled SHIFT: A Festival of American Orchestras at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Listeners can hear a special preview of the D.C. program, “Knoxville: Artists at Home,” including Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, a reprisal of Michael Schachter’s Overture to Knoxville (commissioned by the KSO in 2017) and Copland’s Suite from The Tender Land, plus festive American classics.
