The 2018-19 KSO Pops Series opens with “Women Rock,” featuring the songs of Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Pat Benatar, Tina Turner and Heart. Three young female Broadway stars will join the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra for an evening of hits, including “Take Another Piece of My Heart,” “Proud Mary,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “These Dreams” and more arranged by Grammy winner Jeff Tyzik.
