Pellissippi Strong Luncheon
Pellissippi State will hold its celebration of annual alumni awards at a luncheon that will feature Cassius Cash, superintendent of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, as the keynote speaker and WATE-TV’s Tearsa Smith serving as host. Cash has led the park through notable events including the Chimney Tops 2 Fire, 2016 National Park Service Centennial and the 16-mile extension of the Foothills Parkway that opened in 2018. The two awards conferred at the luncheon include: Pellissippi State’s Distinguished Alumni Award to honor an outstanding graduate in recognition of significant professional achievement and service to the community; and The Peggy Wilson Volunteer Alumni Award that highlights an outstanding graduate in recognition of extraordinary service to the Pellissippi State community.
