‘Plein Air’ painting is the practice of painting landscape pictures outdoors and provides an immersive experience for both artists and spectators as the works progress from blank canvas to collectible art. After 20 nationally-acclaimed artists capture the beauty of the Smokies in September, the special paintings will be available for purchase, and the gala offers the opportunity to be among the first to see and buy the artwork. The ticket price can be used toward a purchase. Space is limited. The public sale starts Oct. 2.
