Portraits of the Smokies

Enjoy a celebration of the enduring photographers, filmmakers and other visual artists of the national park movement during the 1920s in a special multi-media evening. In partnership with Knox County Public Library’s McClung Historical Collection and Tennessee Archive of Moving Image & Sound, the event will feature new high-quality films, and stunning images of mountain views, vistas and outdoor enthusiasts including Jim Thompson, Jack Huff, Carlos Campbell, Dutch Roth, Charles Krutch and others and some rare 1920s color film footage of the Smokies.

Special guests will include WBIR TV 10’s Robin Wilhoit as emcee and guitarist Bob Deck. The event is free; no registration required. Bar drinks will be available for purchase.
