Raise the Roots 2015
Raise the Roots, an annual fundraiser for Beardsley Community Farm, features the bounties of summer on the farm. Hor d’oeuvres will begin at 6 p.m.; dinner will be served promptly at 6:30 p.m. Beer, tea and coffee are included in ticket. Guests are welcome to bring wine with a corkage fee of $10 per bottle.
Dinner will be prepared by the owner and chef of The Plaid Apron, Drew McDonald, and his team. The supper will be locally sourced, and most of the produce is grown at Beardsley Community Farm. The meal is vegetarian, and vegan options are available upon advance request. Guests will have an opportunity to learn about Beardsley Farm, meet farm volunteers and share their experiences gardening and cooking in Knoxville and East Tennessee.
