Raise the Roots 2018
The 8th Annual Raise the Roots dinner, a fundraiser for Beardsley Community Farm, features the bounties of summer and fall on the farm. Dinner will be prepared by Drew McDonald, owner and chef of The Plaid Apron, and his team. Doors open at 6 p.m.; dinner will be served promptly at 6:30 p.m. The supper will be vegetarian and locally sourced; most of the produce is grown at Beardsley Community Farm. Vegan options also will be available upon advance request. Iced tea and coffee are included, and guests are welcome to bring wine with a corkage fee of $10 per bottle. Beer and wine also will be available for purchase at The Plaid Apron.
Guests will have an opportunity to learn about Beardsley Farm, meet farm volunteers and share their experiences gardening and cooking in Knoxville and East Tennessee. All proceeds from the dinner will directly benefit Beardsley Farm.
