The inaugural Secret Garden Literary Dinner features a three-course picnic worthy of The Secret Garden, which was written by Knoxville’s Frances Hodgson Burnett. Dine in a “secret garden” created on the stage of the Flying Anvil Theatre. Between courses, actors will read from the novel, and Laura Still of Knoxville Walking Tours will tell stories of Burnett’s childhood in Knoxville. Chef Eva Andres hails from France and will prepare the picnic with vegetarian options also available. Proceeds will benefit the Knoxville Writers’ Guild and the Flying Anvil Theatre. The event is sold out.
