The Salvation Army Cup of Hope

The Salvation Army will hold its third annual “Cup of Hope” luncheon to coincide with Domestic Violence Awareness month and to benefit The Joy D. Baker Center, which serves as a shelter for women with or without children affected by domestic violence, as well as homeless women with children. The 24-hour staff members also serve as counselors and liaisons for the court and school systems and assist with job placement and referrals to other agencies.
The guest speaker will be Rebekah Lyons, author of “Freefall to Fly: A Breathtaking Journey Toward a Life of Meaning.” Parking is available in the public lot on Jackson Avenue.
