The annual dinner of The Alexis de Tocqueville Society is an invitation-only event for a special group of United Way of Greater Knoxville supporters, each of whom contributes more than $10,000 per year to the cause. The event will take place in the Student Union at the University of Tennessee. A cocktail reception begins at 5 p.m., followed by a 6 p.m. dinner. The speaker will be Horst Schulze, who, as founding president and COO of Ritz-Carlton, established a new standard of excellence in the hospitality industry.
