The volunteer chapter of the PRSA will hold a cocktail reception as part of the 45th birthday celebrate with a meet-and-greet with conference speakers before the day-long professional development event on Oct. 30. The reception includes drinks and appetizers. This is a drop-in event, and attendees are asked to bring a book for first- or second-graders to donate to the Leaders for Readers program, which uses volunteers to listen to students read and build their reading proficiency.
