Collectors Circle members are invited to a special preview of the new Knoxville Museum of Art exhibition, Joseph Delaney: On the Move, led by curator Stephen Wicks. This is the first major KMA exhibition devoted to the work of Joseph Delaney (1904-1991), an important Knoxville-born painter. On the Move includes more than 40 paintings and drawings. The 21st annual award recipients are the Beall Family, with members of the Director’s Circle also being honored. The Knoxville Museum of Art is supporting the Beck Cultural Exchange Center’s efforts to restore and re-purpose the Delaney family home on the Beck campus. The museum will host a kickoff of the Beck Cultural Exchange Center’s fundraising campaign. Beauford and Joseph Delaney are two of the greatest modern painters of the 20th century. The campaign  seeks to restore the Delaneys' only remaining ancestral home and preserve an extraordinary piece of Knoxville's history.

"Higher Ground: A Century of the Visual Arts in East Tennessee," the Knoxville Museum of Art’s flagship permanent exhibition, has been reimagined, expanded and relocated to newly renovated galleries. The 70+ works in the exhibition are drawn mostly from the KMA’s growing holdings and showcase works dating ca. 1860-1980 by artists with ties to the region.
