ETHS Second Annual Biscuits & Bubbly
Don your jazziest attire and help the East Tennessee Historical Society honor Patricia Robledo for the Spirit of East Tennessee Award at the Second Annual Biscuits & Bubbly. A VIP sponsor party starts at 10:30 a.m. with champagne, bloody Marys, mimosas, passed appetizers from Holly’s Gourmet’s Market and music by The Knoxville Jazz Orchestra Quartet, followed by a 12 p.m. three-course seated brunch, music, festive beverages, surprises and a live auction of exclusive East Tennessee experiences. Proceeds benefit the East Tennessee Historical Society.
Robledo is Knox County School’s first Latino community outreach specialist to increase engagement and improve communication with Spanish-speaking families and others that are not fluent in English. Robledo, who immigrated with her family from Colombia to the United States at the age of 17 with limited English proficiency, understands the challenges and opportunities for Spanish-speaking families and immigrants. Robledo is the founder of Robledo Translations, a local translation/interpretation business, and previously served as the City of Knoxville’s business and development liaison. She also was a founding member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of East Tennessee.
