The annual concert – “Knoxville Opera Goes to Church … A Celebration of Talent!” – will feature the Knoxville Opera Gospel Choir and Knoxville Opera artists in a presentation of gospel, spirituals and opera. The concert is one of the Knoxville Opera’s yearly 85 educational/outreach activities and always draws a packed house. The free admission event is presented by Home Federal Bank.

MLK Memorial Tribute Service at Overcoming Believers Church
As part of the 2021 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Commission of Greater Knoxville, an MLK Memorial Tribute Service will be held at Overcoming Believers Church. Overcoming Believers Church Building Bridges
Overcoming Believers Church will hold "Building Bridges" with Dr. Bernice King, CEO of the King Center, and Dr. A. R. Bernard, the pastor of the Christian Cultural Center megachurch in Brooklyn, New York, to unite the community and seek authentic racial reconciliation in Knoxville. King, the youngest child of civil rights leaders Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, was 5 years old when her father was assassinated in 1968.
