2019 East Tennessee Region State Legislators’ Hospitality & Tourism Lunch
A networking and luncheon event will be held, sponsored by the Greater Knoxville Hospitality Association (GKHA), Visit Knoxville and Middle East Tennessee Tourism Council (METTC), with the region’s state legislators. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Tim Ezzell, director of the University of Tennessee's Community Partnership Center, who will discuss the "Appalachian Regional Commission Study on Economics of Tourism." Attire is business/business casual. A special presentation, "9 Lake Excellence in Tourism Awards," also is part of the luncheon.

Knoxville Mayoral Candidate Forum
WUOT News is partnering with Compass to hold a forum for Knoxville mayoral candidates Indya Kincannon and Eddie Mannis. Moderators will ask the candidates for specifics on a variety of issues, including police-community relations, Recode Knoxville and relationships with county and state leaders. Local residents will have the opportunity to submit questions ahead of time, and some will be selected for presentation during the event.
