The 11th annual East Tennessee Women’s Leadership Summit opens with a VIP reception on the evening of June 9. The summit, which will be held June 9-10, is an annual event that evolved from the work of the Tennessee Economic Council on Women and is hosted locally by the East Tennessee Women’s Leadership Council. The Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center (GSMHC) will host its annual Heritage Happening Gala and Auction with live entertainment from performers T.G. Sheppard and T. Graham Brown, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, dancing and silent and live auctions. GSMHC is a nonprofit dedicated to preserving, interpreting and sharing the rich cultural heritage of the Smoky Mountains. The event also will celebrate the 15-year anniversary of the center.
